How to use this kit

The body of the Recruitment Kit is divided into three main sections covering the main volunteer recruiting situations. Select the one that is appropriate to your situation and go straight to it. It is not necessary to read all of the chapters unless the others are relevant to you or for background information.

The three sections are:

  1. Recruitment of Volunteers for the Development of NEW Volunteer Programs

    This section will assist CSOs without a volunteer program. A comprehensive, step-by-step guide from the initial concept of a volunteer program up to its commencement.
  2. Recruitment of Volunteers for Newly-created Roles in CSOs with EXISTINGVolunteer Programs

    Assists CSOs with volunteers already working within the organisation but not in the roles being introduced. Pre-recruitment activities are reduced because this section assumes that many of the required elements and activities detailed in the previous section  ‘Recruitment of Volunteers for the Development of New Volunteer Programs’ - are already in place.
  3. Recruitment of a REPLACEMENT Volunteer

    To be used by CSOs wanting to fill a vacancy for an existing volunteer position. Once again, we have assumed that many of the elements and activities detailed in the previous sections are already in place.
